1. The purpose of the law. (Gal. 3:19-29)

   • To reveal God’s will for us.

   • To teach us how to relate to God and man.

   • To reveal sin in our lives.

   • To bring us to Christ.

2. The problem with man.

   • We are all “lawbreakers”.
     (Gal. 3:22; Rom 3:23)

   • We are all condemned to death.
     (Rom. 5:12-12; 7:7-12)

   • We cannot fix our problem.

3. The provision of God.

   • God sent His son to fulfill the law.
     (Gal 4:4)

   • Jesus redeems from the law’s penalty.
     (Gal 4:5; Rom 5:8)

   • By faith we are saved by Christ.
     (Eph. 2:8-9)

   • God has transformed us so that we may know him personally.
     (Jer. 31:33-34)

   • He has given us one new commandment.
     (John 13:34)
