1. Relationship is vitally important. (Vv. 1–6)

   • He must be our authority. (Vv. 1a; 3:1, 14)

   • We must walk the walk together. (Vv. 1b–3)

   • We must be one body. (Vv. 4–6)

2. God has gifted each of us. (Vv. 7–11)
   (1 Cor. 11:4–6; 12:12–27)

   • God has gifted you.

   • You have a ministry.

   • Every “member” is vitally important.

3. God provides the avenue for growth. (Vv. 12–15)

   • He uses relationships to grow the body.

   • Community is vitally important to the body.

   • He equips, builds up, unifies and matures the body.

4. God provides the results. (Vv. 14–16)

   • He provides stability.

   • He provides truth.

   • He provides Christlikeness.

   • He provides a life lived together.
