1. The unrighteousness of all people.
   (Rom. 1:18; 3:10–18)

   • All have sinned.

   • All are under judgement.

   • All cannot save themselves.
     (Rom. 3:19–20, 23; Gal. 2:16; Rom. 3:22; 4:11; 10:4, 11–12; Gal. 3:20)

2. The righteousness from God.

   • It is revealed. (Rom. 3:21)

   • It is from God.

     • It is a divine attribute.
       (Gen. 18:25; Ps. 45:6–7; Rom. 3:25–26; Rom. 2:5)

     • It is a divine activity.
       (Ps. 98:2; 51:14; Ps. 143:11)

     • It is a divine achievement.
       (Phil. 3:9; Rom. 10:3; 5:17; 3:22; 2. Cor. 5:21; Rom. 4:3, 24; 1 Cor. 1:30)

3. The response of faith. (Eph. 2:8–9)

   • Faith is not a work that earns salvation.

   • Faith is a gift from Gracious God.
     (Heb. 12:2; Acts 3:16; Phil. 1:29; 2 Pet. 1:1)

   • Faith is a response to God’s grace.
     (Eph. 2:8)
