1. Who is Abraham? (V. 1)

   • Forefather by the flesh for Jews.

   • An Aramean called by God. (Dt. 26:5; Gen. 12:1)

   • A man who believed God. (Gen. 15:1–6)

   • A man who obeyed God. (Gen. 17:2–8)

   • A man who completely trusted God.

   • The father of all who trust in the Lord. (Gal. 3:6–9)

2. How was Abraham justified?

   • Not by his works. (V. 2)

   • By believing in the Lord. (V. 3)

   • By grace. (V. 4)

   • By God’s sovereign doing. (V. 5)

3. How are we made righteous?
